What we all need is a happy medium! That's why I've gotten rid of the depressing (literally) blog title. So now you can all lighten up! I'm so glad that three people have blogged in quick succession, although it has been exactly one week after the last post. Work harder people, we're getting somewhere! Oh, and I got the card the day before yesterday. Nice of you people to send it! The cat was...crafty, I guess? (I'm not crafty! I...resent that! I shall strike you with my halo when term reopens...) Anyway, it's been nearly six months, and hope no one's too depressed about Common Tests. I haven't really started on anything, just little bits here and there. Absolutely nothing for History though, so I'm dead for that. Thank goodness I have Daniel's condensed notes on some important issues. That will probably help me avert an F. Dying for the first paper, how bad is that?
Being at the top has its pros and cons, like everything else. I think it really depends on how you carry yourself. I mean, if you're just a snob and all that jazz, people'd hate you wherever you were. On the other hand, if you're a really genuinely nice person, then it wouldn't matter to people in any case. Lesson: Always be nice. The opportunity cost is often negligible, and the social benefit outweighs the private cost. Was that correct? Hope so, or else I'm screwed for Economics too! I miss school! Not the lessons per se, but just being in a place where you can turn a corner and bump into someone you know. Holidays aren't much fun if you have to spend them alone. Even my music isn't distracting me these days. Miss the craziness/lameness of our class...
PS: Yi-Xun actually looks like what he's forever claiming to be in that photograph.
PPS: Eugene looks amused. Heard about what he said to Aparna about her tongs.
