yes where's the rest of our class?

erm you know what? syf opening ceremony was actually quite interesting. was sorta like watching a mini national day parade-- like, there was a flypast of five jets (youth flying club item), a parachuting item (by the commandos-- forever young), a three gun salute for mr minister sir tharman shanmugaratnam-- who was jolly enough to seem like a well paid cameo acting as the president at a parade(heehee), a battle of sorts between four military bands vying for a shell challenge trophy (imagine four drum majors throwing and twirling sticks at random intervals), and all the incredibly propagandaistic + techno remixes of patriotic community songs. the classic example, of course, would be the infamous hard rock version of muneeru valibaa, but hmm this time it was just techno. guess too many people complained.

well, in other words, to put it in simple terms, it was mini ndp. period. :)

though i still sorta think spending a lazy saturday a-la mei's painting exploit's the better way to go.
