to compound matters, this year's version of 'home' is EXTREMELY distressing. i never thought that such a soothing song could (or should) be transformed into a pseudo-rock ditty complete with breathless high-pitched vibratos that certainly don't fit the bill.
on another note i thought singapore idol was quite cool. the judges are spot on most of the time-- never mind the contestants. though there was one guy who had a really cool voice/look. a certain christopher i think, can't really remember. i think he sang your song by elton john, but then again i think he wasn't the only one who tried that song. the rest were just different varieties of the same calibre, though some certainly had more potential than others. mm i certainly prepared for much worse prior to the airing of this program.
oh the stripper was uber cool, though lacking in good taste.
i am now rolling about at home with my left ankle in a bloody big bandage and my right in an ankle support because i had the stupidity to sprain both legs whilst attempting mount ophir. =( i can either choose to spend the next two days (i.e. wednesday and thursday) at home (heh! the powers of medical certificates!) or i can come to school hobbling on crutches and order people around... which certainly sounds like a good idea now that i think about it. hmm. will leave my choices open.
