yo peeps!

as you may or may not know mingyong and i have devised a brilliantly fooooolhardy plan which involves us trotting 42 km around singapore. the route is designed to mimic the migration patterns of north australian kingfishers and has the capability to fell a thirty ton elephant on steroids. as mingyong and i have not as yet determined whether we possess the unbounded stamina required for such a trying course-- i.e. we are utterly, totally, absolutely, god-forsakenly unprepared-- we have no idea whether the plan will go successfully enough. Of course, this is the cue for you guys to start clapping openly and naysaying under your breath, but damn it, you guys gotta give it to us for being the first (and most possibly the last) people silly enough to think a full marathon could be run without prior bleed-your-guts-out preparation.

the run should be next weekend-- except that i haven't confirmed with mingyong yet-- but as soon as we do get a fixed date we shall shout it to posterity at large. yes, that is the extent of our unpreparedness.

i have a deep suspicion that this voyage into the anaerobic unknown will end with me spreadeagled across a traffic junction and mingyong carrying the water supply through the entirety of 42 km. good proposition but nonetheless i hope no potentially immobilizing disaster occurs such that we proceed as fast as two blind asthmatic men with three legs. sigh.
