For the class of A01A 04/05

It's hard to believe how much time has passed
Since we first met over cinnamon rolls.
Then, we were guarded, wary of giving
Ourselves again so soon to new strangers.
Yet as days rolled to weeks and on to months,
We grew to love this class with all its quirks.
We studied hard but we partied harder!
Who would have thought two years could sweep us by?
Our time together was richer for its
Brevity, each shared memory a gift.
Yet all too soon, present fades to past tense.
Now as we scatter, each to his own path,
May that past not be a cause for regret.
Instead, let it remind us that whither
We wander, these friends keep us in their thoughts,
Awaiting tidings of our safe return.
Time continues to refine our friendships,
Like aging wine of exquisite vintage.
Till we meet again, we will still remain
Part of 1A - in a class of our own.
