must love airports for free internet facilities. =)
i strongly recommend a good vacation for all peeps not having the chance to disrupt-- that is, uh, when you do get the chance to take your leave, i.e. during block leave or after vocational training.
motherlode of books bought in san francisco at dirt-cheap prices include Rushdies' Satanic Verses, Burroughs' Queer, Vonneguts' Mother Night and Slaughterhouse-Five, Nabokov's Invitation to a Beheading, Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451, Kafka's Metamorphosis, etc. etc. The fact that some of them really really cannot be found in either kino or borders does increase the satisfaction; but otherwise, am stuck halfway in Verses, Beheading and Fahrenheit. Gah too much variety.
But wonderful wonderful; didn't expect to go to san francisco city, monterrey and carmel, napa and sonoma, then up to seattle for a ball game at qwest stadium, washington for a rural retreat, and even alaska for salmon fishing and the oceans for deep sea fishing. me gosh i love my relatives in the us- makes things all so versatile with their thorough hospitality. and will not forget, clearly, ichiro/ belfre/ betancourt hitting a home run, or fishing up two 18 pound salmon at a creek in ketchikan.
lucky shits who are going overseas quite soon, never forget the great other things you should do if given the opportunity, which doubtless will arise in the course of your study.
